Pigs

I checked the dictionary for the definition of "pig" and found a young swine of either sex weighing less than 120 pounds and a person of piggish character or traits.   The word pig has been in the news lately with lines like "when pigs fly," and "lipstick on a pig."  While cute, I think we should focus on the "piggish character or trait" and look at what is happening with our economy.  Is there a better word to describe the executives at the oil companies, stock brokerages like Lehman Bros, Merrill Lynch, insurance companies like AIG, mortgage companies like Countrywide, or government agencies like Fannie Mae or Fannie Mac or the Interior Department - pigs - who let self interest and personal gain put the US into such a difficult economic situation as it is in today?  I daresay that none of them weigh less than 120 pounds so it is unlikely that you'll see them at a barbeque or a BLT - so we must be talking about the second definition.  I mention this because of the comments you made in your blog Limestone.  Angelina and Brad make a lot of money, but they are responsible and caring and sharing. Like you said, they look out for others.  What have these execs done but hurt their employees and the American people with their "piggish character or traits."  I sure hope they don't walk away with golden parachutes.  How do you guys feel?
