Paul Newman

Guys, let's talk a little break from politics and get back to some examples of good character, something that sets actor Paul Newman aside.  The world has lost a great man and one who exhibited extraordinary GENEROSITY.  Aside from his great films, his "Hole in the Wall" camps have helped children with life threatening diseases throughout the world; his Newman's Own salad dressings have contributed more than $250,000,000 to charity;  he has supplied safe drinking water to impoverished communities in Africa, India and other places.  He's gone, but he has left a Foundation that will continue in the same tradition of giving.  So, while he'll be remembered from The Hustler, Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy and Color of Money, the impact he made on the world before his passing was huge - and it will continue to be huge because he was truly a kind and generous man - and one who exemplified everything that we are trying to do - to help bring peace, hope and security to the world through character development.  And generosity is certainly one of them.  If you guys want to get back to politics - go at it.  Paul Newman - we'll miss you.
