Economic Bailout

Hope you don't mind if we jump back onto the political scene, Sandstone, cause it does provide us with a lot of ammunition as relates to character. Like everyone else, only time will tell if the recent economic bailout will have the positive affects that are hoped for. At this point, it could go either way. What stands out for me, however, is that for once we had an example of bi-partisan support of a very difficult issue, and while many politicians used the situation for political purposes, both the Democrats and Republicans deserve credit for seeking a solution rather than continued fighting while the economy and the people of America suffered. 700 billion dollars is a lot of money, money that could have been used for a variety of purposes, like education, healthcare, infrastructure, war on terror, energy etc - and the dollars are now being re-directed to bail out Wall Street. In the end, however, the bailout will affect everyone because it should help stop foreclosures, save peoples' homes, relax credit so that business and industry can jumpstart - and help stabilize the world economy. I think our elected officials showed excellent character in this case, and I hope that the decision made proves to be a wise one. What do you guys think?
