Benevolence

I really liked what you started Marble.  I think we all take for granted that people understand what we are talking about when we say character and character development without being specific.  And the idea of matching the character traits up with specific examples is pretty neat.  I'll do Benevolence: the desire to do well to others.  I think Oprah Winfrey is a good example of a very benevolent person, same with Bono.
And I like what Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie do, how much they put back to help people worldwide, and Elizabeth Taylor and her work on behalf of Aids.  There are so many people who fit this mold - Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning comes to mind with his donation of a children's wing of a hospital - in fact, the entire NFL has a United Way program that shows tremendous benevolence.  In this Holiday period - with the economy as it is - with foreclosures and layoffs - I hope the readers of our blogs will take heed - and include benevolence as a part of their season.  Again, Marble, nice idea.
