Slate. I enjoyed your review of the Indianapolis 500. Being able to put some character elements into the race was very perceptive. Nice. What you didn't mention was that the race was on Memorial Day Weekend and I thought we should make mention of our military. I heard about Army Sgt. Kevin Harris talking to sixth grade students at a school. He talked to the kids about the importance of character building and working hard in being a responsible citizen of the US. He said, "In the military, we take citizenship personal. Respect is a big part of being in the military. You have to respect other cultures. Everyday in the military, your character is tested. Just seeing a flag flying or hearing the "Pledge of Allegiance" puts a smile on my face." You didn't mention that at the Indianapolis 500, the Speedway honored our Armed Forces, drove them around the track and they marched in front of the stands. And I think they got the loudest cheers of the day.
Sorry we didn't get together. I was over by Grandstand A. Where were you?-
