A Question of Character

You know Marble, what you and Obsidian and Amp were pointing out has been something that philosophers have been puzzling over since Heraclitus of Ephesus wrote in 500BC, "a man's character is his destiny."
They've been wondering about the role that character plays in a person's life ever since and wondering how to define the inherent complex of attributes that may determine a person's moral and ethical actions and reactions. Today, character testing is used in things like immigration and citizenship, in employment in critical industries. Doesn't it follow that we should ask the same of our politicians and base our decisions as much on their character as on their positions on issues. If falling foul of a character test could lead to detention and deportation, then candidates should be held accountable for their characters also. We Little Rox have taken the initiative to help bring the importance of good character to the forefront. And we have to believe that character development stands front and center in the goal of peace, hope and security for mankind.
