Karate School Builds Character

Thought you all might be interested in an article I read in the Tahoe Daily Tribune about a karate school that offers lessons in martial arts and life.  The school instructs students on the physical and mental aspects of Kenpo Karate.  "It's not about learning how to fight," said senior master and founder of the school Ralph Castelanos, "It's learning not to fight."  Besides teaching the physical movements, the training also helps students with their self-esteem,  character and discipline.  "The bottom line is, we're helping people be better."  My hat is off to Mr. Castelanos.  Wouldn't it be great if all karate schools recognized the importance of good character and taught it as being as important, if not more important, than the physical side. What do you guys think?
