Indianapolis, IN Peace and goodwill towards men is not only the spirit of the upcoming holiday season but it is also the mission of a new Indianapolis business venture. In less than a year since its inception, Little Rox is successfully delivering a message of serenity worldwide. Numerous customers are purchasing Little Rox - a rock in a box that was designed to promote positive traits such as benevolence, honesty, forgiveness and the like.
My partner Joe Newman and I came up with the idea over lunch one day to create a movement that would help to advance good character qualities in people, said Ron Sukenick, co-founder of Little Rox. You can celebrate an individuals character and put it into stone. Our primary customers are teachers, coaches, and even grandparents, who want to inspire, reward and show love by giving a Little Rox.
There are 20 distinct rocks such as granite, obsidian, sandstone, shale, and marble, which have been assigned different traits. Each Little Rox is imbued with a personality and quotes attributed to the rock. Customers receive a rock in a gift box, a book, a printed character trait and a Declaration of Humanity, modeled after the Declaration of Independence.
Our goal is to get as many commitments from people to join us in this important mission by signing the Little Rox Declaration of Humanity, added Newman. We hope our venture will have a significant impact on mankind.
Ten percent of a Little Rox purchase will be donated to character development programs worldwide.
These two businessmen, who have also been friends for more than 25 years, would like to reach 6.6 billion people in the world. Its admittedly an enormous goal but Sukenick and Newman justify their quest believing that Little Rox can make a big difference.
